New Project Coming Soon...

Haven't posted anything in a LONG time. Life gets busy! 2012 has been overall a great year so far.  Life is certainly changing! My wife and I bought our first house in March, celebrated our 2nd anniversary on May 14th, but just after finding out she is pregnant with our first child.  I cannot wait to meet this little guy and show him how to love and enjoy motorsports as I have!  So, its easy to see that drifting and cars in general haven't been on my mind lately.  But it hasn't been completely out of my mind.  One of the things I love about our house is the huge two and a half car garage set behind the house.  So she gets her garage on the house and I have mine too.   There is one problem though; the garage is empty.
With a baby on the way, I knew I wanted something a little newer and something with a little
softer of a ride than my 2003 Lancer Evo.  Although hauling a kid around in a CT9A would be pretty cool I needed something more.  I scored a sweet deal on a 2012 Acura TSX Sportwagon at work, but that meant the Evo had to go.  So, with the Evo sold and the TSX being an automatic that meant that I needed a new weekend warrior.  The decision was easy.  When I first bought the evo, my daily driver was an AE86 coupe that I loved to drive.  I always told everyone that the Evo was the fastest car I had ever driven, but the most fun car I had ever driven was my AE86.  After I sold that first coupe, I always told my wife that if given the chance I would own another AE86.  Well, that chance arrived with the Evo being sold.
The first thing I did was dive into the classifieds ads on Club4ag.  I didn't want to fly to California to pick up a car but I didn't want to sacrifice anything I wanted either.  My goal was to come back to Central Ohio with a AE86 hatchback.  After searching for about two weeks and calling on numerous cars I found my Corolla.  You wouldn't expect to find a rust free car in a city that receives over four feet of snow every year, but I found mine in Minneapolis.  It has everything I want and nothing that I don't want.  I'm so excited to get this car back home. As I'm typing this I still have to wait a week until I fly out to Minnesota.  So, that's the story so far. I'll post pics every step of the way. expect a long post on the trip from Minneapolis back to Columbus as its a 13 hour drive!
